One person was airlifted to the hospital Friday night and two others rushed by ambulance after a dirt bike and an ATV crashed head-on in Moffat.
Bell County investigators say two young men on an ATV and one young man on a dirt bike hit head-on just after 8 p.m. at Owl Creek Park near Lake Belton.
A witness told emergency crews that the young men were riding around in a field when he saw them collide.
Moffat Fire Chief Hal Pagel says, "Anytime you have anything that hits head-on, it's like hitting an immovable object at twice the speed you are traveling and that makes a big difference."
All three men were in their late teens or early 20s. They were taken to Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Their injuries range from moderate to critical.
